The Search Engine giant is celebrating its 18th birthday on Tuesday with an animated Doodle seen on web browsers around the universe. Google founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in 1988 at Menlo Park, California, United States, historically marks its birthday at the Google homepage on September 27. The domain for Google was registered on September 15, 1997, but the incorporation was done on September 4, 1998. Larry Page and Sergey Brin are ranked 12th and 13th on Forbes list of the richest human beings inside the international, with net worth of $35.2bn and $34.4bn respectively.
For Doodles, the special and unique logos have been around since 30 Aug 1998. The primary Doodle was created while Page and Sergey Brin both attended the Burning Man festival. The first Google Doodle celebrating their birthday appeared on 27 Sept 2002, for their fourth anniversary. This year also Doodler Gerben Steenks deigned today’s doodle.
